Chime Biologics Donated RMB 1 Million to Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone Together with VMS Group to Fight Against COVID-19 Epidemic

Wuhan, China, February 19, 2022 – Chime Biologics, a leading CDMO with its strategic partner VMS Group, donated RMB 1 million（50% each）, 1,000 sets of protective clothing, 800 sterilized headgear, 800 sterilized shoe covers, 5,500 disposable medical masks and 5,000 pairs of gloves to designated hospitals of fever treatment in Wuhan, after pulse-on Level II Public Emergency Response and “lockdown” Wuhan by Hubei Provincial Government.

Chime Biologics signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Biolake in December 2019. providing a planned total US$900 million investment to build a commercial development and manufacturing plant for Antibody drugs, with a total fermentation scale of over 140,000L and a single fermentation scale of 20,000L. As discussed by the board, Chime Biologics and VMS Group decided to donate a total of RMB 1 million additionally to Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone to fight against COVID-19 epidemic.

The donation demonstrates the continued care from Chime Biologics and VMS Group to the epidemic in Wuhan, as well as the confidence in investment and project development in Wuhan BioLake.
